When you travel to Phuket, it’s crucial to spend some time taking in the sun, the sand, the breeze, and of course, the views. Forgoing the latter would mean that you missed out on something that could make your trip incredible. In fact, the magnificent scenery is the highlight of what the island offers. Nature has been deteriorating and destroyed all over the world. Yet, Phuket still has beauty in every nook and cranny.
Whether you want to take nice pictures for your Instagram feed or just enjoy looking at the scenery, here are the best four places to go for an unforgettable view:
The most popular spot to enjoy the view has to be Promthep Cape. When you get to the top of the viewpoint, you will see a 360-degree picturesque of the Andaman Sea and mountains full of trees. It will leave you in awe! The best time to come here is during the sunrise or sunset. Keep in mind that Promthep Cape is famously known among the tourists. If you go there in the high season, chances are you might be swamped in a crowd. Instead of enjoying the view, you might be upset with how many people there are.
Getting to Promthep Cape requires some uphill driving. If you are not confident in driving in Thailand, it is best to hire someone instead. You may also get a taxi to take you to the viewpoint. The road can be steep and slippery if there is rain. We suggest that you go there before 5 p.m. to reserve the best spot before people start to come up.
Some people want to enjoy the view without being swamped in a crowd of people. That is why Windmill Viewpoint is their second choice. It is located not that far from Promthep Cape. This spot allows you to appreciate Ya Nui Beach on one side and Nai Harn Beach on the other. Although it has a different angle of the views from Promthep Cape, it is just as magnificent.
You can get there by driving a car. If you are traveling from Nai Harn Beach, you can just rent a motorbike and drive there. Windmill Viewpoint is less than a kilometer away. There is a parking lot for both cars and motorcycles. Even though it may not be as crowded, you should still get there before the sun sets.
If you think that seeing two beaches at the same time is impressive, you will be stunned when you get to Karon Viewpoint. At this one spot, you will get to see three west coast beaches in Phuket including Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon. All of them aligned in a vertical line. The scenery is surreal! If you stay in Rawai, Karon Viewpoint is only ten minutes away from Soi Sai Yuan. You can simply drive a little bit further down to go to Kata Noi Beach.
Nai Yang Beach
For those who have landed at Phuket International Airport right before sunset, why not kick off your trip with a drive straight to Nai Yang Beach? A mere five minutes will take you to a beach in Sirinat National Park. You will see the deep blue sea with numerous trees along the beach. It is a great place for taking in a preview of Phuket’s magnificent beauty before you check in at your hotel.
Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa is rated as one of the best hotels in Patong. If you’re looking for a hotel in Phuket – we’re a great choice. Get in touch today to book your stay!
