Thailand’s latest entry requirements from 1 May 2022
Thailand is ready to welcome quarantine-free travel under the following:
1) Vaccinated travellers
• Pre-Arrival Requirements
1. A valid passport, and a Thailand Pass QR Code – register at https://tp.consular.go.th/ or a Border Pass for arrivals via border checkpoints.
2. Purchase COVID-19 Insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 10,000.
3. Present a valid Vaccine Certificate
– Everyone 18 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling to Thailand.
– Travellers 5-17 years of age travelling to Thailand unaccompanied must get vaccinated with at least 1 dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling to Thailand. Those travelling with parents are exempt from this requirement.
– Travelers who had a history of COVID-19 infection (with at least 1 dose of approved vaccine) must have a medical certificate for COVID-19 recovery.
• On-Arrival Requirements/During the Stay
1. All travellers must undergo entry screening including body temperature check, and present all required documents including your Thailand Pass Code and Vaccine certificate to the Immigration/Health Control officer to carry out the checks, then will be free to travel anywhere inThailand.
2. All travelers must strictly follow health and safety standards. Travellers who are experiencing COVID-like symptoms should get tested. If testing positive, they must get the appropriate medical treatment. The expenses must be covered by the required insurance for foreign travelers, or national healthcare coverage for Thais and eligible foreign expatriates.
2) Unvaccinated traveller/Not Fully Vaccinated Travellers
• Pre-Arrival Requirements
1. A valid passport, and a Thailand Pass QR Code (via https://tp.consular.go.th/), or a Border Pass for arrivals via border checkpoints.
2. Purchase COVID-19 Insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 10,000.
3. Book and pay in advance for 1 COVID-19 test. Create an appointment at www.thailandpsas.com (Thai travelers are exempt from this requirement)
4. Travellers are required to book a 5-day stay at government approved hotel.
5. People who upload a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure on Thailand Pass system, do not have to do quarantine. (This exemption also extends to travellers under 6 years old traveling with parents)
• On-Arrival Requirements/During the Stay
1. All travellers must undergo entry screening including body temperature check, and present all required documents including your Thailand Pass Code and Vaccine certificate to the Immigration/Health Control officer to carry out the checks.
– Unvaccinated travelers/not fully vaccinated travellers who uploaded proof of a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours of travel via the Thailand Pass system are exempt from quarantine and will be free to travel anywhere in Thailand.
– Unvaccinated travelers/not fully vaccinated travellers must travel to the hotel by a prearranged SHA Extra Plus certified taxis or transportation and undergo the quarantine for 5 days in SHA Extra Plus hotels, with RT-PCR test before the end of your stay.
